Ingredients of Fried Terere (mchicha)
- It's 1 bunch of Terere chopped.
- You need 2 of medium tomatoes.
- It's 1 of medium onion.
- You need of Cooking oil.
- It's of Royco (optional).
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
Fry onions till soft and golden, adding a bit of salt. You may add a bit of sugar as well. I prefer to use fried onions instead of raw ones, which gives extra delicacy to the dish. Mchicha (Amaranthus spp.) ni jamii mojawapo ya mboga za majani.

- Wash your veggies and set aside together with onion and tomatoes..
- Heat oil in a pot, add onions and fry till soft..
- In goes your chopped tomatoes, mix well, add in royco and salt. Cook till soft..
- Add your terere and give it a good mix ensuring the tomatoes... are well incorporated. Simmer for a few minutes..
- Ready to serve!.
